Desk Based Assessment
An historic environment desk-based assessment (DBA) is a preliminary investigation that involves reviewing existing historical and archaeological records to assess the potential for archaeological remains on a specific site and the potential for developmental impacts on the historic environment. The goal of a DBA is to determine the likelihood of impacts on heritage assets to inform the decision-making process of a planning application.
