40 Peter Street, Manchester

A heritage statement was prepared by GHC Archaeology & Heritage Limited on behalf of Hurstwood Estates Ltd to accompany a planning application for a proposed rooftop terrace and office at 40 Peter Street, Manchester. The site is located within the administrative boundary of Manchester City Council. GHC provided an assessment of the heritage interest of the building within the study site. It assessed the potential impacts that the proposed demolition could have on this and other heritage assets in the vicinity. The conclusions reached in our report were informed by detailed historic research, a site inspection and the application of professional judgement based on historic, archaeological, architectural or artistic interest.
