Graduate Heritage Consultant
Location: UK / Remote

We’re seeking a Graduate Heritage Consultant to join our friendly archaeology and heritage team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career heritage professional with either an Undergraduate or Masters Level degree who wants to work within consultancy. You will gain valuable skills while working on a wide range of projects across the UK. You will support the delivery of high-quality heritage advice for planning and development, with clear opportunities for career progression.
This role is home-based with travel to site. You’ll receive mentoring and support from experienced consultants as you build confidence and experience in professional heritage practice.
The role will include:

Preparing and assisting with Heritage Statements, Statements of Significance and Impact Assessments

Contributing heritage chapters and inputs to Environmental Statements (EIA)

Researching and assessing historic buildings and heritage assets

Undertaking site visits and setting assessments

Supporting planning and listed building consent applications

Working collaboratively with archaeologists, planners and environmental specialists
About you:

Undergraduate Degree in Historic Buildings, Building Conservation, Architectural History, or a related heritage discipline AND/OR

Master’s Degree (or working towards completion) in Historic Buildings, Building Conservation, Architectural History, or a related heritage discipline

Excellent research, analytical and report writing skills

Interest in UK planning policy, heritage legislation and the management of the historic environment

A careful, detail-oriented approach with good organisational skills

Organised, proactive and keen to learn

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Full UK driving license
